Technology, Collaboration and Information Square.

TCI Square is the brainchild of two best friends working at two ends of the construction spectrum. One, a design draftsman and the other an on-site project manager. After nearly 10 years in the field practicing trade craft, it became more and more obvious that change was needed and coming in the construction field.

Experience and time exposed that inefficiencies in the construction process are a result of “managing status quo.” Status quo has never accommodated for the incredible leaps that technology has made in construction/design over the last 20 years. To think, that just 10 years ago, designs were 2D and revisions were a never ending nightmare for any drafter. Today the technology exists to design every facet of structures in 3D, while incorporating and accommodating for the existing built environment. As space is becoming more and more of a limiting factor to growth; it is imperative to incorporate more of our existing environment into the design process. Not only is this beneficial to maintaining cohesion in our built environment but will also lead to decreased construction times, increased unity of our urban fabric and most importantly; decrease overall cost of projects.
